It's now six in the morning and i'm waiting to start the cooking of breakfast for the Day 3 of the O camp.... (i forgot what i'm supposed to cook..... sandwich? nevermind, just cook them something eidble and stuff their stomach will make them happy)
The previous 2 days was a total chaos.... i already forgot most of what happened (the classical symptom of sleep deprivation), Let me recall.....
Day 1 night.... the restaurant i chose was a mess... they cant even have the dishes ready in some 30 mins (leave alone for the fact that i have waited 30 mins before the kids arrived just to have the table ready)..... end up eating McDonald's..... In order for the repent, me and Jackie (my buddy in the "cooking" team) went to shop for food at a very uncommon time (it's already some 9 o'clock and most shops are closed....) we're lucky enough to buy some fish balls and curry.... we made some snacks and cooked some noodles.... they're lucky they dont have to sleep with empty stomach~ But it finally end up that i couldnt enjoy the meal myself..... one of the grand kids became so ill that she end up in the A&E department of QM... as a person with some medical knowledge i was asked to see how's she doing (i actually went with a Yr 4 Med Student).... she's quite okay despite for some minor dehydration.... she got a drip and was admitted to the Observation Ward and discharged the next day....
I slept for almost 8 hours that day in order to recover from my tireness...
By the time i wake it's time for the cooking again..... We had minced meat with tofu, grilled cod fish (using my previous recipe) and veggies that night... (i had taken some photos... but i'm too weak to upload them right now, so just keep waiting~) Had no idea preparing food for 30 people is that time consuming and the whole process is just rush, rush and rush (you dun wanna know how we cook the food if you're going to eat it.... LOL) they seemed quite contended with our food (somehow they became more indifferent towards food already, just as long as they're full, that's okay)
After the washing (another 1 to 2 hours) we started the cooking of dessert, sweet soup (not sure how it's supposed to be called, or maybe i'm too tired that i cant find the word, those bean product, Soya "skin" with egg soup??) then we do the washing again... it's another vicious cycle....
After that i need to do that laundry... it took especially long to dry such a large lump of clothes.... that make me end up waking through the whole night and type my journal.... i'm about to cook my breakfast..... after that i'll enjoy my nice and long sleep before doing all the cooking and stuff again~ Till next time. I shall write soon (using shall is an indication of uncertainty)......
