Anyhow... I need to stay till late to complete my files, I shall keep my mental state positively to fight.

Mood still got a bit affected by the 'busy for nothing' operation the night before...

I slept past noon before heading out for tea in Mong Kok with Nicky. Thanks so much for the present.... they're lovely.

Dinner with Sam and Alvin and Co at the French Table... a nice place to be... the wines we bought were good too...

It's good to spend time with babies and animals...

Night spent with family for dinner...

Had a drink with uncles at the posh place...

A day to remember.

A lovely day at Cheung Chau.

Happiness can be simple... nice scene, nice people...

Everything was perfect.

More of the same happiness in the future?

Trip to Macau and the week before birthday.

Brother is now back in Hong Kong, and the family went to Macau for a short trip on Sunday and Monday.

It's been a while the family travel together.

Macau was good, lots of good food. Portugese cuisine, traditional guang tung dishes, and the snacks too.

It's a good eating trip. The hotel was reasonable too. I wished to buy a set of similar bed and curtain at home, where I can easily sleep till noon at my desire.

P. S. Liverpool miraculously draw 1-1 in the dying minutes against Arsenal... certainly that made my day.

Life saps back to reality in a hard way on Tuesday. the work week before birthday was bad, real bad.

Busy for nothing...

So many files... some even not under my charter... Damn.

Had my first annual report... It's all nothing but a game of grade and numbers... I really shouldn't have worked as hard if I know my grades beforehand. I should have gave you my "deserved C grade output" to you.

Was in the middle of power struggle, again... The bosses were all in bad mood and so did I, the only difference being I won't vent my anger against the innocence...

My whole week had been focused on the operation on Thursday...

Meand my team spent so many hours preparing for it.... only to find out it got called off the last minute as they don't give a shit. Why can't they have the guts to say beforehand... any idea how much resources was wasted on that? Just really pissed.

I felt downhearted about the bosses and the job.

I think it's really time to seek for different path.

Anyway, it's a good 4 days Easter holiday and I am not going to let such things affect my mood.

A change of luck?

Got a bit of progress in work today.

Seems like everything that I was worried about previously just got settled in one single day.

The outstanding files got cleared up.

Operation got approved... man power was no longer an issue...

Though there are still a few glitches (eg. next team's crazy boss).... But I still felt thankful.

I'm taking Monday off.... shall head to Macau with family.

Shall be a fun trip...

Losing track of time...

It's almost the end of the week.... what have I done?

Today was rather ordinary at work.... just like everyday.

I got my mind on the Safety Risk Assessment the whole morning.... since when did that became my charter?

Finally... I can see my actual outstanding workload... provided that no new stuff got to my intray as of now...

Scary.

Lunch went out with the Admin Wing for lunch.... a PC is transferring to Chai Wan for good...

I was almost late for my handgun qualification exam... compounded with the fact that today was the first time I did the exam in plain-clothes.... i'm rather headless....

But thankfully, shooting is about muscle memory instead of the outcome of cognitive procedure.

47 out of 48, with one shot intentionally hit above head.

I'm satisfied with the result...

It's so good to shoot once in a while.... it relieve a lot of stress.

Going back for a bit of file work and my team went out for dinner....

I hope this become a culture in my team...

Ideas get across so much quicker...

And it's through such gathering our relationship got built up...

The only drawback is that my waist seems to grow incessantly... time to get hold of myself.
